Overall, these efforts are expected to deliver approximately $120 million in incremental annual sales impact.The research and analysis for this report was conducted under the direction of the authors as part of an MIT Sloan Management Review research initiative in collaboration with and sponsored by Boston Consulting Group. Today, 400 reps are actively using the tools they were trained on in the academy 20 new digital hires have been onboarded, a number that’s expected to double in next 12 months and more than 70 employees have been upskilled. The training delivered by this program increased the company’s ability to pursue AI-driven, hypertargeted sales calls and marketing campaigns and use data-driven call-planning tools. The curriculum emphasizes “social learning,” a concept built on four key strategies: a series of peer-led demo and testimonial videos promoting tips and tricks for tool usage peer champions, or colleagues selected to coach and support new users gaming strategies, such as leaderboards, excellence awards, and success story submissions and manager coaching and support, including one-on-one check-ins with the learning program’s team.
The program also upskills new hires and current employees, offering training in digital capabilities and agile ways of working. The content includes talent development for a wide variety of roles, including growth architects, data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, cloud engineers, and marketing automation specialists. RISE has built a strong ecosystem with the close involvement of government agencies, recruiters, companies, and start-ups in Singapore to deliver impact at scale. Half of the trainees from the program’s first wave have found jobs, and on average one in four finds a job before graduation.
Three times as many people have applied to participate than the program has room for, and overall trainee satisfaction remains high-with 92% of ratings above 4 out of 5. RISE has created significant impact, with more to come in the months ahead. It offers three specialization tracks-business and data analytics, digital sales and marketing, and digital transformation and change management- and offers students three distinct learning journeys focused on skills, career, and personal development, providing each participant with 450 learning hours over six months. The program specializes in reskilling companies in their digital capabilities as well as the business-critical skills sought by employers. RISE goes beyond classroom instruction, emphasizing how skills can be put to use within a strategic business context.
